Marife Necesito is a Filipino actress of stage, film, television, and commercial productions. She became internationally recognized when she starred in Swedish director Lukas Moodysson's film "Mammoth," along with acclaimed actors Michelle Williams and Gael Garcia Bernal. Necesito was born in Manila. She was raised in Valenzuela City where she also received her early schooling. After graduating from high school at St. Jude Academy, Necesito pursued a career in writing. Her works ranged from komiks to romance novels. Soon, the eventual decline of the komiks industry led Necesito to shift from writing to theater acting. She received her training from Balintataw under Cecile Guidote-Alvarez, and from Dulaang Bonifacio under Angie Ferro. Some of her acting credits on stage include "Heroes of Ilocos," "Elias y Salome," "Trojan Women," and "Song for Ana."
